OTTAWA, ON -- The Ottawa Fury Men (11-0-4) continued their record-setting season with an 8-0 drubbing of the New Jersey Rangers (2-11-2) with Liam Maloney leading the way with his first career hat-trick vaulting the Fury into the top spot in the entire PDL.

With one game remaining the Fury need a victory or a Long Island loss to clinch their first-ever division title.

Sunday's game was almost a carbon copy of Saturday's victory over Rhode Island that multiple goal scorers and some spectacular soccer from Ottawa.

Justin Dasah, who scored his second goal of the season on Saturday, opened the scoring against New Jersey in the 12th minute sliding home a Martin Vickerton cross at the back post.

Less than a minute later James Goodwin headed an Andrew Rigby cross into his own goal giving the Fury a 2-0 lead.

Brien Chamney converted his fourth of the season off a Martin Vickerton corner in the 19th minute giving the Fury a three-goal which they carried into halftime.

The break didn't seem to help New Jersey regroup and the Fury continued to push for more.

Liam Maloney opened the flood gates with his first of three on the afternoon in the 59th minute slotting home a Brien Chamney pass.

Three minutes later Maloney added a second with a phenomenal diving header off a Joel Theissen free kick putting the Fury up 5-0.

Rafael Martinez handled the ball on the goal line leading to a red card and penalty kick. Martin Vickerton calmly placed a shot low into the bottom left corner for his first of the season in the 69th minute.

After Edgar Soglo was taken down inside the box in the 82nd minute by Rangers keeper Zach Carr, Fury captain Alexis Pradie rifled home his first in Fury colours.

Liam Maloney capped off another dominant Ottawa performance tapping home his third of the game and his team leading ninth of the season capping of the 8-0 victory.
