Busy Week for Outrage
Will play three games in five days

KALAMAZOO, MI - The Kalamazoo Outrage men and women will play four games over a five-day span this week with three of those games being at home. Both Outrage teams look to get back in the action after lengthy early season layoffs, the Ladies last played on May 17 and the men on May 24.

In the first two weeks of play this season the Men have amassed a 2-0-2 record and have had two players tagged with honorable mention status on the PDL team of the week. First was goalkeeper Mitch Hildebrandt who gave up one goal in the first week of the season as the Outrage went 1-0-1. In week two Grand Rapids native Dominic Barone scored three goals in two matches, as the Outrage again went 1-0-1.
 
The men kick off the week this Wednesday as they hit the road for a crucial game against the Chicago Fire. In the home opener on May 18th the Outrage conceded a two goal lead in a one minute span to come away with a 2-2 tie against the Fire. The Fire currently sits atop the Great Lakes Division with a 4-0-1 record. The Outrage are in third place behind the Fire and the Michigan Bucks, with a game in hand on each.

On Friday at 7:30 p.m. the Outrage will entertain the Fort Wayne Fever who shocked the powerhouse Michigan Bucks, 2-1, knocking them out of contention for twhat would have been their PDL record ninth appearance in the historic tournament. Playing up top for the Fever is former Kalamazoo Central standout Trevor Peaslee.

The men close out the week with a Sunday evening (5:00 start) rematch of the season opener against the Michigan Bucks. That game ended in a 1-1 tie and the Bucks are looking to knock off the Outrage after last years playoff upset.

Sandwiched in on Saturday, the Ladies will host the Indiana FC Lionesses in a 7:30 p.m. match up. Indiana was the league runner up in 2008 and is the sixth ranked team in the world according to womensworldfootball.com rankings. The Outrage comes in to the game with a win under their belt along with several new players available for play as the State High School tournament is winding down.

All home games are played at Kalamazoo Loy Norrix High School with tickets available at the gate. Ticket prices are 16 & up $3, 8-15 $2 and 7 or younger get in for free.
