Mississipi Faces Central Florida, Saturday
Brilla FC’s crucial regular season finale

CLINTON, MS - After locking up a playoff berth on Friday night in a 5-0 win at the Atlanta Blackhawks, Mississippi Brilla FC failed to secure a win on Saturday when they tied the Nashville Metros 2-2.

The team feared the tie doomed their chances of finishing on top of the Southeastern Division, but the Panama City Pirates have given them hope by tying the Bradenton Academics on Sunday evening.

By preventing Bradenton from achieving maximum points, the Pirates have left the door open for Mississippi to finish on top with a win over the Central Florida Kraze on Saturday. Currently, Bradenton is two points ahead of Mississippi with one more match played. A win, and only a win, will allow Brilla to leapfrog the Academics and win the regular season division title and the coveted top seed.

If Mississippi places first in the division, they will host the Division Championship the following weekend.

Brilla is obviously hoping for a huge crowd on Saturday. The last regular season match over the past two years has drawn an average of 1,387 fans. Saturday’s match will kickoff at 7:00 PM at Arrow Field in Clinton. Tickets are just $5.
