CLINTON, MS – On Tuesday, November 3, 2009, Brilla Soccer Ministries will be hosting two special events. The day will begin at 8:30AM CT with a complimentary breakfast at the Refuge Golf Course in Flowood, Mississippi. The tournament officially kicks off at 9:00 AM CT.
“We are excited to bring back our popular golf tournament this year,” said Scott Taylor of Brilla Soccer Ministries. “We took a few years off, but we have had numerous requests to make it an annual event. It is a great way for supporters of our ministry to help us out, while enjoying a great day together at the golf course.”
Later in the evening, Brilla Soccer Ministries will host its sixth annual Vision Night Banquet on the campus of Mississippi College in Anderson Hall. The banquet provides an opportunity for the staff of Brilla to highlight the previous year, while also sharing the vision for the future. The evening will also feature a silent auction of Mississippi Brilla FC game jerseys and collectibles, as well as other sports related memorabilia. The banquet is scheduled to begin at 6:30PM CT with a buffet meal. The program will immediately follow the meal. Tickets may be purchased for $15 at the Brilla Office.
“I look forward to Vision Night every year, as it is a chance to celebrate the year and share some insight into our future plans,” said Rusty Bryant, President of Brilla Soccer Ministries. “We hope to have another great turnout as we are extremely excited about what the future holds.”
About the Golf Tournament
The golf tournament format will be a four-person team “Best Ball” competition. There will also be competitions in longest drive, closest to pin and longest putt. The entry fee for an individual is $80, while a team of four is $300. Each participant will receive breakfast, snacks, a complimentary gift pack, and, of course, 18 holes of golf with a golf cart.
Golf tournament participants will also receive a complimentary ticket to the Brilla Soccer Ministries’ Vision Night Banquet that evening. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit Brilla’s 2010 ministry budget.
