LUDLOW, MA -- The Western Mass Pioneers overcame a 1-0 deficit to score twice and take a lead, but allowed a goal in the final three minutes of the game and had to settle for a 2-2 tie against Bermuda on a hot Sunday afternoon.
This was the second time this season that the Pioneers gave up a late goal to tie the game.

Scoring first for Bermuda was Kevin Richards off an assist from Darius Cox to give his team an the initial lead in the 37th minute.
The Pioneers bounced back after the half to score two beautiful headers and take the lead. Almir Barbosa was the first to score off a well placed cross from Jeff Deren in the 69th minute.
Three minutes later, Almir Barbosa gave the Pioneers the lead with his goal to make the game 2-1. Federico Molinari assisted the goal.
The second goal for Bermuda was scored by Damon Ming to tie the game with only three minutes remaining.
There was seven minutes of injury time because of a yellow card and two red cards. The yellow card was issued to Jamie Smith. In the result of a conversation between Kyle Lightbourne, he was issued with a red card and Jamie Smith was also issued a red card.
The pioneers also had two yellow cards, one to Augustine and one to David Tyrie. Bermuda also received a yellow card issued to Damon Ming.
Bermuda’s Lyndon Burgess had five saves. Pioneer’s Bobby Shuttleworth had three saves. The leading shooters for Bermuda were Damon Ming and Jamie Smith with three shots each. For the Pioneers, Almir Barbosa had four shots on net. Bermuda had a total of 14 shots and the Pioneers had 11 shots.
