RICHMOND, VA -- The Richmond Kickers have enjoyed a bit of success amongst its the youth ranks of late. The Kickers are doing well in local league play and several alumni have gone on to log achievements in the collegiate ranks early in the fall campaign.

KICKERS ELITE TEAMS WIN FIVE IN A ROW
The Kickers picked up their fifth straight VCCL victory on Sunday defeating FC Richmond with a 8-6-2 record. Next week the teams break from VCCL to compete in Columbus Day tournaments and festivals. They will then return to league action on October 18th with an away match in Roanoke.
FORMER U18 GIRLS ELITE SCORING COLLEGE GOALS
Several former members of the Girls U18 Kickers Elite team have been scoring goals for their college teams. Simone Jimenez, Jordan Brown and Julie Jennings all recently scored their first goals for VMI, Howard University and CNU, respectively. Meanwhile, at the other end of the field, Chelsea Parker has become the starting goalkeeper at Mars Hill University.
Former Kickers Academy Player Shines at Longwood
Longwood University topped the University of Richmond of the Atlantic 10 Conference, 2-1, in a physical match on Saturday night at the Athletics Complex in Farmville. Freshman and former Richmond Kickers Academy Player, Patrick McDaniel, scored the game-winning goal for Longwood (2-6-2) in the 87th minute, the first goal of his collegiate career.
