TAMPA, FL -- Episode 5 of USL Breakaway will air on Fox Soccer Channel Saturday, September 19. The episode features profiles of former Richmond Kicker Clyde Simms of DC United and current Portland Timbers player Ryan Pore. The show also takes a look back at the recent USL-2 championship as well as the 2009 USL First Division season.

Simms played for the Richmond Kickers in USL-1, and made quite the impression as a defensive midfielder. He was invited to camp when the US Men’s National Team was on strike at the time and impressed Bruce Arena. He was the lone player retained after the strike ended, which led to his signing with DC United where he’s been since.

With a six-game goal-scoring streak in the midst of Portland's record 24-game unbeaten run, Pore was one of the more visible players among the historic achievement.
