New Orleans, LA –– The New Orleans Jesters tied the Mississippi Brilla 0-0 in their third and final matchup in tonight’s game at Arrow Field in Clinton, MS. The Jesters have tied the Brilla twice before, ending in ties of 3-3 and 1-1.
“I’m extremely proud of the team,” said Jesters head coach Kenny Farrell. “Making a point on the road is very important right now. We are on the road to the playoffs and are hoping for a huge fan base at our next home game.”
A fun rivalry has been created between the two teams. Prior to tonight’s game, the Jesters were third in the division with 20 points and the Brilla were in second place with 25 points. In addition, James “Gleddy” Gledhill, is a former player for the Brilla and is now a starter for the Jesters.
The Jesters’ next home game will be Saturday, July 11 against the Baton Rouge Capitals at 7:00 p.m. at Pan American Stadium. The game will feature special guest Molly the Pony, who was rescued after Hurricane Katrina. Attacked by another animal following the storm, Molly’s leg required amputation and a prosthesis and her quiet courage has inspired people of all ages.
