Jesters, Metros draw 1-1

 June 25, 2009

New Orleans, LA –– The New Orleans Jesters and the Nashville Metros battled to a 1-1 tie in tonight’s game at Pan American Stadium. This is the third time the two teams have met. Previous scores were a 7-0 Jesters win in New Orleans and a 0-0 draw in Nashville.

Dustin Dawes scored on a free kick for the Metros during the first half. Jesters player (and operations manager) Ben Callon returned with a point of his own in the 65th minute.
“We played an incredibly strong second half,” said Jesters’ head coach Kenny Farrell. “Unfortunately, we just couldn’t push on for the victory even though our general play deserved just that.”

The Jesters will play the Panama City Pirates for the first time on Saturday, June 27th at 7 p.m. at Pan American Stadium. The game will feature pony rides before the game and halftime entertainment from New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood Company.
