NEW ORLEANS, LA – New Orleans Jesters fans have two chances to see their team play this week. The team will play their first weeknight home game Thursday night against the Nashville Metros at 7 p.m. The teams have met twice before, resulting in a 7-0 win for the Jesters in New Orleans and a 0-0 draw in Nashville. On Saturday at 7 p.m., the Jesters will play the Panama City Pirates for the first time.
On Thursday, kids will enjoy a petting zoo prior to the game and fun halftime entertainment sponsored by McDonalds. Saturday’s game features pony rides before the game and halftime entertainment from New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood Company.
** Update
During last week’s game against the Mississippi Brilla, a Brilla player was injured. We have received word that the player, Michael Brown, broke his leg in two places. He has had surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.
“The tackle that broke Michael Brown’s leg was a fair tackle,” said Jesters’ head coach Kenny Farrell. “We do everything we can to avoid injuries, but sometimes in the course of a game they are impossible to avoid. All of the Jesters wish Mr. Brown a speedy recovery.”
