CHICAGO, ILLINOIS – Forest City London lost to the Chicago Fire last night 3-1, knocking them to second place in the Great Lakes Division of the PDL. Former PDL Player of the Week Anthony DiBiase (6/24) scored London’s only goal as the team suffered their second defeat of the season. Only the top three teams in of eight divisions encompassing the United States and Canada qualify for PDL playoffs.
London takes on Kalamazoo tonight (7/9) in Kalamazoo in the second game of their two-game road trip. A win tonight puts the club back on top of the Great Lakes Division. A loss or a draw with Kalamazoo keeps the race alive, forcing FC London to win their last two home games.
FC London’s next home game is set for Sunday at 3:30 PM ET at TD Waterhouse Stadium. Events surrounding the game will be include the Massel-Cruikshank Foundation in support of cancer patients and their families.
