INDIANAPOLIS – Indy Eleven announced on Monday it had signed forward Jack McInerney – most recently of Major League Soccer’s LA Galaxy – for the 2018 USL season, pending league and federation approval.

“Jack is a prominent goal scorer who has scored many goals in his career so far,” said Indy Head Coach Martin Rennie said. “He’s very hungry to keep scoring and we’re very lucky to have him join our team.”

McInerney has scored 43 goals in 175 appearances in his MLS career, having been originally selected seventh overall in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft by the Philadelphia Union. A former member of the U.S. U17, U20 and U23 National team, McInerney made 95 appearances over five seasons with the Union, scoring 25 goals, including a single-season high of 12 in 2013.

The 25-year-old was traded to the Montreal Impact midway through the 2014 MLS season, and has since spent time with Columbus Crew SC, the Portland Timbers and the LA Galaxy.
