CHICAGO – Chicago's USL expansion club, which is set to begin play at a new Lincoln Yards development on the north side of the city under the leadership of executives from Sterling Bay in the 2020 season, is requesting fan input on the club's name through an online survey.

Fans can suggest any name at the Name On Chicago campaign website following a “The Chicago…” format over the next 90 days, with the survey scheduled to close on May 16th. Those entering will have a chance to win season tickets for the club's inaugural season.

The proposed development would include a 20,000-seat stadium with a retractable roof to enable year-round use as part of a 70-acre mixed-use development site in the Lincoln Park and Bucktown neighborhoods along the Chicago River.

The contest mirrors previous surveys and polls that have been conducted by USL clubs to help select team names. Most recently, 2018 USL expansion side Las Vegas Lights FC selected its official name following a fan poll last year.
