Monarchs' leader earned second All-League selection after career year

In his fourth season in the USL, Chandler Hoffman put up career-high numbers while leading Real Monarchs SLC to unprecedented success in 2017. For the second time in his career, the 27-year-old striker was named to the USL All-League First Team as he led the Monarchs to their first silverware, the 2017 USL Regular Season Championship.

Scoring 16 goals, which moved him within range of 50 in the USL regular season for his career, Hoffman remained in the hunt for the USL Golden Boot for most of the season. There was more to Hoffman than just scoring as he contributed a single-season best seven assists and 31 key passes over the season. One of the players who epitomized the change in attitude that had arrived in Salt Lake City last season, Hoffman will strive for more moments like these as the Monarchs kick off their first year at Zions Bank Stadium this spring.
