PHOENIX (January 22, 2018) — Phoenix Rising Football Club announced today it will sponsor professional golfer Kevin Tway at this year’s Waste Management Phoenix Open, held Feb. 1-4, 2018 at TPC in Scottsdale. The sponsorship, which showcases a unique opportunity for sports teams, like Phoenix Rising, to create additional awareness for their brand, will include Tway carrying a Phoenix Rising-branded golf bag throughout the tournament.

“I’m excited to partner with Phoenix Rising FC during the upcoming Waste Management Phoenix Open,” said Tway. “Phoenix is my adopted hometown and with soccer being one of my passions, it’s a natural fit to represent the team.”

This year marks Tway’s second time in the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Tway was previously the 2005 U.S. Junior Amateur Champion and named an All-American at Oklahoma State in 2006. Tway follows in his father, Bob Tway’s, footsteps, who over the course of his career had eight PGA Tour victories.

Phoenix Rising FC will also host a booth in the tournament’s Fan Zone for the second consecutive year. While in the Fan Zone, fans can enter to win Tway’s Phoenix Rising golf bag. The booth will also feature an inflatable net where fans can take shots kicking soccer balls at a target for a chance to win prizes.

In addition to its presence at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, Phoenix Rising FC will also be hosting the Mobile Mini Sun Cup on February 10, 14, and 17, where they will play three Major League Soccer teams: New York Red Bulls [10th], Colorado Rapids [14th], and Sporting Kansas City [17th], at the Phoenix Rising Soccer Complex.
