NASHVILLE, Tenn. – 2018 USL expansion club Nashville SC announced on Tuesday it had added young Ghanaian striker Ropapa Mensah on loan for the 2018 USL season, and the addition of defenders London Woodberry and Jordan Dunstan to the club’s back line. The signings are pending league and federation approval.

“These three player additions continue to demonstrate our mentality to building this club,” Nashville SC Head Coach Gary Smith said. “We will explore every avenue to acquire talent at all positions.”

Mensah arrives in Nashville on loan from Inter Allies F.C. in Ghana, with the club holding an option to buy following the conclusion of the loan. The 20-year-old had a stellar first season in the USL with Penn FC in 2017, scoring seven goals and two assists in 19 appearances for the club.

“Ropapa is a very talented and young forward with attributes that offer him every opportunity to be a real fan favorite,” said Smith. “He is quick, strong and clinical in front of the goal and will be a real handful for any defense in the USL.”

Woodbury is set for his second stint in the USL after spending the past three seasons in Major League Soccer with the New England Revolution. The 26-year-old made 46 appearances for the Revolution in that span, having previously played for Phoenix Rising FC in 2014 in the USL.

Dunstan, meanwhile, signed his first professional contract after having previously competed collegiately at Bryan College in Dayton, Tenn. The Appalachian Athletic Conference’s Defender of the Year in 2016, his senior season, Dunstan is a native of Mississauga, Canada.
