PITTSBURGH (January 12, 2018) – The Pittsburgh Riverhounds will kick off their home schedule on Saturday, March 31 against Penn FC at Highmark Stadium, announced today by the USL.

The match will mark the beginning of the club’s defense of the Keystone Derby Cup, presented by K&L Gates and the Pennsylvania Lottery, against its in-state rivals formerly known as the Harrisburg City Islanders.

This will be the first time since 2015 the Hounds have opened their home slate against Penn FC. That season marked not only the Hounds capturing the inaugural title of the Keystone Derby, but also was the last time they reached postseason play.

Pittsburgh's home opener against Penn FC will be the club's second match of the 2018 regular season. The club will first battle expansion side Nashville SC on March 24 at First Tennessee Park, marking Nashville's first home game in USL play.
