ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Saint Louis FC announced on Friday the signing of forward Albert Dikwa, pending league and federation approval, adding a strong young attacker to the club’s squad.

A native of Garoua, Cameroon, Dikwa played in the Panthère Security de Garoua youth system before attending the prestigious Soccer Institute at Montverde Academy (SIMA) in Montverde, Fla. The 19-year-old then signed with the USL’s Orlando City B at the beginning of the 2017 season and went on to make 22 appearances and score three goals for new Saint Louis Head Coach Anthony Pulis’ side during the regular season.

“I’m excited to be able to work with Dikwa again as he’s a young player with a very high ceiling,” said Pulis. “He’s athletic, mobile, always on the move, and he has the potential to be a very good player for us moving forward.”

Dikwa’s potential saw him named to the 2017 USL 20 Under 20, with the 6-foot-2 striker coming in at the No. 11 position on the countdown.

“I’m happy to sign with Saint Louis FC and continue to work under Anthony,” said Dikwa. “I remember the support from the fans when we played in St. Louis last season and I’m excited to play in front of them for every home game.”
