IRVINE, Calif. – Orange County SC announced on Friday the addition of former FC Cincinnati midfielder Aodhan Quinn for the 2018 USL season. The signing is pending league and federation approval.

A native of San Diego, Quinn spent the past season with FC Cincinnati where he scored two goals and recorded 19 key passes in 18 appearances for the club in league action. Quinn also saw action during FC Cincinnati’s run to the Semifinals of the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, but is now excited to head back to the west coast to join Orange County.

“I’m extremely excited to get started with the club, everything I’ve seen from the stadium to facilities is top class,” said Quinn. “I look forward to working with the coach and staff who have the same ideas of how to play the game as I do. I’m excited to help push the club forward to help achieve their vision as they continue to strive for greatness.”

A former NSCAA All-American at the University of Akron, Quinn has made 88 appearances in his USL career, having helped Louisville City FC reach the USL Cup Playoffs in both 2015 and 2016 after previously playing for Orlando City SC three years ago. The midfield playmaker notched five goals and nine assists for Louisville over two seasons, in particular proving a threat from set pieces.

“I’m very excited to have Aodhan join Orange County SC,” said Orange County SC Head Coach Braeden Cloutier. I’ve personally known him since he was a little boy and have been really impressed with the man he has become. He’s another example of a fantastic player but an even better person. He will bring the determination and experience we need to reach our goals. He’s not only a talented player but hardworking and disciplined which will continue to be the foundation of our team.”

Quinn is the second high-profile addition to Orange County’s midfield corps this week after the arrival of former Swope Park Rangers midfielder Christian Duke.
