TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Roughnecks FC announced on Friday it had agreed to terms with defender Paris Gee on a new contract as Head Coach David Vaudreuil continues to form the club’s 2018 roster. The one-year deal is pending league and federation approval.

Gee is the second announced signing for the Roughnecks this off-season after the British Columbia native played a key role in the Roughnecks successful 2017 campaign. Gee made 19 appearances for the Roughnecks during the regular season as he helped solidify the club's backline late in the season as Tulsa reached the USL Cup Playoffs for the first time in club history.

Gee also started in the Roughnecks’ Western Conference Quarterfinal against San Antonio FC, scoring his first goal for the club with a spectacular strike that opened the scoring at Toyota Field.

"Paris is a young player who came in and worked really hard on his game and earned a starting spot during the playoff run," said Vaudreuil. "He tactically adjusted to our system to the point where he was a very important piece of the puzzle. He is a young guy with a lot of upside and we are very excited to have re-signed him."

Prior to joining the Roughnecks, the 23-year-old Gee played two seasons for NK Rudes in Croatia, making 35 appearances. He also played in one collegiate season for NCAA Division II Simon Fraser University, the only Canadian university in the NCAA.
