NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nashville SC unveiled on Wednesday another four additions to the club’s inaugural roster for the 2018 USL season, with former Ottawa Fury FC forward Tucker Hume leading a quartet that all feature prior experience in the league.

Defenders Liam Doyle and Bradley Bourgeois, and midfielder Ryan James will join Hume in Nashville, with all four signings pending league and federation approval, raising the club’s squad to 13 players as it builds its squad for next spring.

“This is another versatile and valuable group of players for us at Nashville SC,” said Nashville SC Head Coach Gary Smith. “All of these guys are young and hungry to continue their professional soccer development.”

Hume notched three goals in 23 appearances for Fury FC in his first professional season, with the 6-foot-5 target forward also notching two assists and 19 key passes for the club from Canada’s capital. A former standout in the PDL where he claimed the 2013 championship with the Austin Aztex, Hume also had a standout career at the University of North Carolina collegiately, where he scored 18 goals overall and led the Tar Heels in scoring in both his junior and senior seasons.

Doyle is the third former member of the 2017 USL Western Conference champion Swope Park Rangers to join the club, with the former Ohio State University standout having made 46 appearances for the Rangers in his first two seasons as a professional. The 25-year-old native of the Isle of Man, Doyle was named the Big Ten’s Defensive Player of the Year as a senior for the Buckeyes, and now joins Swope Park teammates Oumar Ballo and Lebo Moloto in Nashville.

Bourgeois arrives from Tulsa Roughnecks FC, where the 23-year-old defender helped the club reach the USL Cup Playoffs for the first time in its three-season history in 2017. A former standout for the University of Tulsa, Bourgeois was originally signed by the Houston Dynamo in 2015 before making 30 appearances a season ago for the Roughnecks. Bourgeois recorded 87 clearances, 58 interceptions and won 24 of 28 tackles for the Roughnecks in the 2017 season, and will join fellow defender Kosuke Kimura in going from Tulsa to Nashville.

James has spent the last two seasons with the Rochester Rhinos, where this past season he appeared in every game as the club reached the Eastern Conference Semifinals of the 2017 USL Cup Playoffs. The 23-year-old midfielder from Canada also led the Rhinos in minutes played with 2,983, and recorded 100 interceptions and 21 key passes over the season for the club.
