Toronto FC II’s Angelo Cavalluzzo has claimed the 2017 USL Fans’ Choice Save of the Year, earning victory against Saint Louis FC’s Devala Gorrick for the crown after an incredible tight battle over the past four days between the two standout stops.

Cavalluzzo earned 51 percent of the online ballot to claim the award for a stunning point-blank save on LCFC’s Luke Spencer at Slugger Field on April 29. The save was part of a 10-save shutout for the Canadian shot-stopper, and earned his narrowest margin of victory over the tournament’s four rounds against a strong challenge from Gorrick’s fingertip stop against FC Cincinnati.
