PHOENIX (December 11, 2017) — Phoenix Rising FC announced today it has re-signed defender Victor Vasquez for the 2018 season. Vasquez completed his first full professional season in 2017 and was one of just three field players to make 25 starts during the season.

“I’m really excited to be coming back to Phoenix,” Vasquez said. “The club, the fans, the team chemistry, everything was amazing last year and I know things are only going to keep growing. Its an honor to be a part of this organization, and I'm looking forward to this next upcoming year.”

Vasquez signed his first professional contract with Phoenix Rising FC on December 15,
2016 and made his first professional start in the club’s season opener against Toronto FC II on March 25 as a starter. Vasquez was one of just three field players to start in over 20 matches without appearing as a substitute. In Week 25 of the USL regular season, Vasquez was named to the USL Team of the Week.
