PHOENIX (December 7, 2017) — Phoenix Rising FC announced today it has re-signed forward Jason Johnson for the 2018 season. Johnson led the club in scoring with 13 goals. He also provided three assists.

Johnson was one of the club’s first signings of the 2017 season, officially joining the organization even before the club rebranded. He made his club debut as a starter in the season opener against Toronto FC II on March 25 and scored his first goal of the year on May 13 in a 2-1 win over OKC Energy FC. In week 10 and 17, Johnson was named the USL Team of the Week and was the USL Player of the Week in Week 17. Johnson is the sixth player to re-sign with the club for 2018, following Alessandro Riggi, Carl Woszczynski, Chris Cortez, Amadou Dia, and Kevon Lambert.
