PHOENIX (December 5, 2017) — Phoenix Rising FC, in partnership with its affiliated club in southern Arizona, FC Tucson, announced the dates and teams participating in the 2018 Mobile Mini Sun Cup and Major League Soccer (MLS) Preseason, the seventh consecutive MLS Preseason event hosted in Arizona. Phoenix Rising FC and 11 MLS clubs will be playing preseason matches in Tucson and Phoenix from February 3-24, 2018. Mobile Mini is also sponsoring the 2018 Mobile Mini Sun Cup MVP Award, which will be given to the most valuable player during the tournament.

The 11 MLS clubs participating in the 2018 Mobile Mini Sun Cup include; Colorado Rapids, FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo, LA Galaxy, New England Revolution, Portland Timbers, New York Red Bulls, Real Salt Lake, San Jose Earthquakes, Seattle Sounders, and Sporting Kansas City.

“Tucson has done an incredible job setting a gold standard for MLS Preseason, and we’re excited to enhance that next February by expanding it to Phoenix,” said Phoenix Rising FC club governor Berke Bakay. “With the help of Mobile Mini we’re bringing eleven clubs to Arizona for MLS Preseason.”

Phoenix Rising FC will host three matches against MLS clubs at the Phoenix Rising Soccer Complex in south Scottsdale.  On February 10th, Phoenix Rising FC will play at 3 p.m.  February 14th, Phoenix Rising FC will play against Colorado Rapids at 6 p.m.  And, February 17th, Phoenix Rising FC will test its 2018 roster against Sporting Kansas City at 3 p.m. All gated matches in Tucson will be played on February 3rd, 17th and 24th. The matchups and times of all Mobile Mini Sun Cup matches, gated and non-gated, will be announced at a later date.

Individual tickets for the event will go on sale Tuesday, December 12th with the “Mobile Mini Sun Cup Pass” on sale now for just $40. The Cup Pass grants access to all gated games in Tucson.
