Club leader in clean sheets to begin fourth season

PHOENIX (December 4, 2017) — Phoenix Rising FC announced today it has re-signed goalkeeper Carl Woszczynski for the 2018 season. The USL veteran will be starting his fourth season with the club.

“I am ecstatic to be rejoining Phoenix Rising FC for the 2018 season,” Woszczynski said. “Being here through the club's transitions and stadium changes in past years, to becoming Phoenix Rising and having our own beautiful stadium, makes it that much sweeter. I believe the city, ownership group, staff, and fans are some of the best in the USL, and I can't wait to do all I can to help bring a championship to the Valley.”

Woszczynski first signed with the organization in 2015 after spending the previous three seasons with USL sides Orlando City SC and LA Blues. In his first season with the club, Woszczynski broke the USL record for most saves in a single season. Woszczynski is also the club’s all-time leader in clean sheets (10).

Woszczynski joins midfielder Alessandro Riggi as the club’s two official signing for the 2018 season.
