Five superior strikes from Week 29 battle for your vote

TAMPA, FL - A bumper week of 70 goals, which also included the highest-scoring game of the 2017 USL regular season on Saturday night between the New York Red Bulls II and Orlando City B, brought plenty of entertainment in Week 29. Here are five of the best that have been selected for this week’s USL Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week award.

Voting will continue through 9 a.m. ET on Thursday, October 12.

USL Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week – Week 29

Marcel Schäfer - #TBRvNY, 10/4/17: Schäfer’s blasted finish from 25 yards out against the New York Red Bulls II landed him the No. 4 spot on ESPN’s SportsCenter Top 10 on Wednesday night to highlight a standout individual performance.

Juan Caffa - #PHXvTUL, 10/4/17: Caffa produced another moment of magic with a curling effort from close to 30 yards out that picked out the top-right corner against Phoenix in the USL Game of the Week on ESPN3.

Miguel Gonzalez - #OKCvSPR, 10/8/17: Gonzalez knocked home a perfect spinning volley to capitalize on Jose Angulo’s knockdown to open the scoring for Energy FC in a 4-1 victory against the Swope Park Rangers.

Jason Johnson - #PHXvRGV, 10/7/17: Johnson took matters into his own hands with a stunning individual effort that saw him weave past a pair of defenders near the goal line on the right before firing home with his left foot.

Florian Valot - #ORLvNY, 10/7/17: Valot showed what he can do when you give him a mistake to seize on with a brilliant left-footed blast into the top-right corner from 25 yards out in New York’s thrilling 6-5 win against OCB.
