PHOENIX (September 19) – Phoenix Rising FC kicks off a crucial four-match road trip with a visit to Seattle Sounders FC 2 on Wednesday, September 20. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m.

Fans can also watch the match one of three ways: they can watch live locally on YurView Arizona Cox Channels 4 & 1004 (Phoenix) or 7 & 1007 (Tucson). They can head to the club's official watch party at the Thirsty Lion in Tempe Marketplace (2000 East Rio Salado Parkway #1041, Tempe, AZ 85281). Or fans can watch online at www.PHXRisingFC.com.

A red-hot Rising FC side will begin the two-week long trip through the Pacific Northwest on a club-record eight-match unbeaten streak. The team has been dominant during the stretch, outscoring its opponents 13-4, and recording 3 clean sheets in the last four games.

In its most recent match, Phoenix Rising blanked Western Conference-leading Real Monarchs SLC in a 2-0 home victory. Midfielder Sam Hamilton scored his first goal for the club to open the scoring, while forward Jason Johnson added to his team-high scoring total, netting an eighth goal to seal the win.

The win was Rising FC’s fourth in its last five, and third straight clean sheet at the Phoenix Rising Soccer Complex. The club will have to wait a while to add to that run of defensive success at home. With the long trip on the horizon, Rising FC will not play in Arizona again until October.

Seattle Sounders FC 2 and Phoenix Rising met two weeks ago, when Phoenix Rising won 2-0 in Arizona. Since then, Sounders FC 2’s playoff hopes have begun to fade. The team has slipped to 11th in the Western Conference standings, six points out of a playoff spot.

Rising FC meanwhile have ascended up the table over the last several weeks. The club begins its trip in seventh place in the West (the top eight clubs make the playoffs). It also has games in hand on every other team in the conference.

Wednesday will be the seventh all-time meeting between the two clubs. The previous six have been split evenly, 3-3-0. Phoenix Rising won their trip to Seattle last year.
