LA Galaxy II news and notes
Current record: 7-14-5, 26pts
The Galaxy II saw their playoff hopes fade as it conceded late on in a 1-1 draw against San Antonio FC last Saturday night at StubHub Center Track and Field Stadium in their last outing.
Los Dos opened the scoring in the match with a Jean Engola scoring the opener early in the second half, his first of the season, but they couldn’t hold on for victory as Michael Reed scored in the 88th minute for the visitors to earn SAFC a point.
The Galaxy II are now eight points out of the eighth and final playoff position in the USL Western Conference with five games to go in their season.
Saturday's game opens a tough four-game road trip for Los Dos, who will also visit Tulsa Roughnecks FC, the Swope Park Rangers and OKC Energy FC before their home finale on Oct. 7 against the Portland Timbers 2.
