The City Islanders grabbed a dramatic victory on Saturday night as a stoppage-time goal by Pedro Ribeiro earned a 2-1 victory against Saint Louis FC at Toyota Stadium – Saint Louis.
The victory snapped an eight-game winless streak for Harrisburg, which had last taken victory on July 15 against the Richmond Kickers.
Ribeiro’s goal was his third of the season, and his first since returning from a mid-season injury that hampered Harrisburg’s attack. In the past two outings Harrisburg has scored four goals after being held scoreless for six consecutive games.
City Islanders midfielder Abass Mohammed is third in the league in tackles won with 61, and sixth in the league in duels won with 149.

Cincinnati played to a 1-1 draw with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in its last outing on September 2 at Nippert Stadium, and enters Tuesday’s contest in eighth place in the USL Eastern Conference.
Andrew Wiedeman scored the equalizer for FCC against Pittsburgh, which had taken an early lead at Nippert Stadium.
Goalkeeper Mitch Hildebrandt sits second in the USL with 81 saves this season as the side has recorded only six shutouts in 26 games so far this season.
FCC forward Djiby Fall is tied for the league-lead with five headed goals this season, almost half of his 11 goals in the USL regular season.
