Orlando looks to continue undefeated streak as Steel FC visits

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City B will look to continue its 11-game undefeated streak when it welcomes Bethlehem Steel FC for a crucial Eastern Conference matchup on Thursday night at Orlando City Stadium, with the two teams sitting two points apart in the top eight of the standings. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.

  • Current record: 8-6-11, 35pts

  • Orlando took its biggest win of the season in its last outing, defeating Eastern Conference-leader Louisville City FC 3-0 at Slugger Field this past Saturday.

  • Michael Cox scored his first two goals of the season in the win, while goalkeeper Jake Fenlason recorded an eight-save shutout. Both were named to the USL Team of the Week on Tuesday.

  • Orlando moved into sixth place in the USL Eastern Conference with its victory on Saturday, and would move level on points with both the Tampa Bay Rowdies and Rochester Rhinos with a win against Steel FC.

  • OCB’s Pierre da Silva – who was named No. 1 on this year’s USL 20 Under 20 – is tied for third in the USL with seven assists this season.

  • Steel FC fell 3-2 to the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on Saturday night in a dramatic contest between the Keystone State rivals.

  • Pittsburgh took a two-goal lead before a pair of goals by Jamaican international Cory Burke brought the teams level, but the Riverhounds found a winner with 13 minutes to go to claim the victory.

  • Burke has now scored five goals this season, surpassing his total from a year ago with eight games remaining in the regular season.

  • Steel FC sits in eighth position in the Eastern Conference entering Thursday night’s game, but would move up to sixth with a win as it looks to break a three-game losing streak.
