Roughnecks visit Saint Louis aiming for season sweep

FENTON, Mo. – Saint Louis FC try to rebound from a defeat in its last outing, and avoid a season sweep at the hands of Tulsa Roughnecks FC when the two interconference rivals square off on Wednesday night at Toyota Stadium – Saint Louis. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.

Saint Louis FC news and notes

  • Current record: 7-10-5, 26pts

  • Saint Louis fell 2-1 to the Pittsburgh Riverhounds at Toyota Stadium – Saint Louis as the visitors rallied to victory after Seth Rudolph had given STLFC the lead.

  • The defeat left Saint Louis five points out of the final playoff position in the Eastern Conference with 10 games to play in the regular season.

  • Saint Louis has been unable to put together back-to-back victories since a three-game winning streak between April 1-12 at the start of the season.

  • STLFC announced on Monday that midfielder Octavio Guzman had undergone successful knee surgery, and was expected to be out of action for 4-6 weeks.
