Louisville looks to claim first as City Islanders visit

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Louisville City FC can move into first place in the USL Eastern Conference with a victory on Wednesday night in the USL Game of the Week on ESPN3 as it plays host to a Harrisburg City Islanders side looking for a turnaround in its playoff push. Kickoff at Slugger Field is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.

  • Louisville earned its third consecutive victory with a 3-1 win against Bethlehem Steel FC on Sunday evening at Goodman Stadium.

  • Forward Luke Spencer had two goals and defender Oscar Jimenez two assists in the victory, which saw both named to the USL Team of the Week on Tuesday.

  • City enters Wednesday’s game three points behind the Charlotte Independence, but would overtake their Eastern rival should it take its 13th win of the season.
