FENTON, Mo. – Thanks to two second-half strikes from Corey Hertzog, the Pittsburgh Riverhounds topped Saint Louis FC 2-1 at Toyota Stadium – Saint Louis on Saturday evening. Rudolph converted the home side’s only goal following a beautiful back-heel pass by Christian Volesky just before halftime. However, Hertzog quickly responded after the break, netting a sensational free kick to level the match. After Saint Louis failed to score from the penalty spot in the 66th minute, the Riverhounds were given an opportunity of their own from the spot, and Hertzog was clinical. With the win, Pittsburgh improves to 7-8-9, while Saint Louis falls to 7-10-5 this campaign.

Trey Mitchell’s penalty-kick save against Saint Louis’ Milan Petosevic in the 66th minute proved to be the turning point in the game, as the Riverhounds converted a penalty – the game-winner – seven minutes later. Mitchell recorded two saves overall on the evening and also had one punch to help Pittsburgh record the road win.
