LAS VEGAS – The local soccer and sports community turned out in strong numbers to be part of the introduction of professional soccer to Las Vegas on Friday, with USL CEO Alec Papadakis and President Jake Edwards being joined by Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval, Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman and Las Vegas Councilman Ricky Barlow also part of the welcoming group to Las Vegas Pro Soccer and Brett Lashbrook.
“This day certainly wouldn’t happen without the hard work, dedication and commitment of Brett and his family, and all of his partners who have spent the better part of three years working on this,” said Edwards prior to the official announcement. “We pride ourselves on the quality of ownership we have in our league, and we know Brett and his family are going to be a tremendous addition to our ownership group.”
