SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio FC announced on Thursday the club had signed forward Mike Seth. Per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed. Seth joins after spending the start of the USL season with Phoenix Rising FC.

The 6-foot-1 forward enjoyed an impressive 2016 season with Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, helping his club to a third-place finish in the USL Western Conference before being eliminated in the Western Conference Quarterfinals of the 2016 USL Cup Playoffs by Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2. Seth led the Switchbacks in goals (eight) and assists (five) while tallying 2,074 minutes over 28 regular season matches. Seth also played 90 minutes in the club’s lone playoff game against WFC2. In two seasons with the Switchbacks, Seth appeared in 54 games, scoring 12 goals and recording eight assists.

“We welcome Mike to the club and we look forward to working with him on a daily basis,” said SAFC Head Coach Darren Powell. “He is a player that the coaching staff feels can come in and help us right away. He is going to add competitiveness, hunger and desire to the group to keep us pushing forward.”

Seth joins San Antonio FC from Phoenix where he played in four games this season. Seth made two starts and recorded four shots in 154 total minutes played while completing 64.5 percent of his passes over the course of his time in Arizona. Seth also appeared in both of Phoenix’s Open Cup matches, scoring a goal against the Fresno Fuego in the second round of the tournament.

“I am happy about the move to San Antonio,” said Seth. “It’s a great group of guys and great group of coaches, so I am just looking forward to getting started and keeping things going with the team.”

The 29-year-old has made 115 USL appearances since 2011 with the Switchbacks, Phoenix Rising FC and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.

SAFC also announced the club has added 18-year-old midfielder and Texas native Connor Presley to the roster. Presley most recently played with the Lonestar SC Development Academy in Austin where he helped his team qualify for the U.S. Soccer Development Academy playoffs.

In addition, the club announced that it has released forward Aly Alberto Hassan.
