TAMPA, Fla. – The 2017 USL regular season has seen some outstanding saves across the league during the month of July. Now it’s your turn to select the best of the five selected that will earn the USL Fans’ Choice Save of the Month award.
USL Fans’ Choice Save of the Month Finalists – July
Diego Restrepo (SA) - #PHXvSA, 7/29/17 – Restrepo’s diving stop to deny Phoenix Rising FC’s Didier Drogba was part of a four-save shutout that allowed SAFC to earn a big victory on the road.
Alex Tambakis (CHS) - #TBRvCHS, 7/22/17 – Tambakis’ reflexes were put to the test by the Tampa Bay Rowdies’ Joe Cole, but the young goalkeeper came through with a big stop at Al Lang Stadium.
Rafael Diaz (NY) - #HARvNY, 7/12/17 – Diaz showed off his athleticism as he made an outstanding recovery to tip a shot by the Harrisburg City Islanders’ Paul Wilson over the crossbar at FNB Field.
Cody Mizell (CLT) - #PGHvCLT, 7/4/17 – Mizell’s outstanding reaction save to deny the Pittsburgh Riverhounds’ Corey Hertzog helped the Independence earn a road victory on the Fourth of July.
Mark Pais (TOR) - #NYvTOR, 7/21/17 – Pais went at full-stretch to deny a great chipped effort by the New York Red Bulls II’s Vincent Bezecourt that was pegged for the top-right corner at MSU Soccer Park.
