OTTAWA – Ottawa Fury FC’s 2-0 victory on Saturday night against Toronto FC II at TD Place not only saw the club get its push for the USL Cup Playoffs back on course, but also saw the club welcomed its third-highest attendance of the season with 6,763 fans on hand for another great night of entertainment.

In its first season in the USL, the extended Fury Family has continued to grow, with the club’s attendance on course to set a new season-high. Having welcomed more than 6,500 fans to six games already this season, the work the club is doing off the field to build its following is paying off handsomely, with every game at TD Place an event for a fanbase eager for high-level action.

“Our players take great pride representing this club, this city and are very appreciative of the community that supports them – the Fury Family,” Fury FC GM and Head Coach Paul Dalglish told OttawaFuryFC.com. “The fans are what makes the players excited to play at home; what makes us a difficult team to beat at TD Place; and what gives us that added lift when we need it most.

“For me, seeing the faces of young fans after the game running on the field, experience scoring a goal in our stadium, meeting their favorite player and smiling from ear-to-ear … that, at the end of the day, is what this is all about.”

This past Saturday the fans were treated to two special moments, as Azake Luboyera scored his first goal for Fury FC in his debut and Sito Seoane produced one of the best goals of the season so far for Ottawa. The efforts on the field and by the club’s staff off the field are definitely appreciated by the fans that have come through the turnstiles this season.

“Myself and my two boys (12 years and 9 years) had a blast,” Fan Bruno G. told OttawaFuryFC.com after Saturday’s game. “It was a perfect seat and totally different experience. After the game kids were very happy that they were able to take players autograph as well as selfies. I would recommend a friend to go and see with family.”

As the 2017 USL regular season comes into its critical final stretch, Fury FC’s players will be able to count on strong support as it faces key home contests in the next two weeks against Bethlehem Steel FC and the Charlotte Independence.
