1868 FC looks to continue undefeated run against T2

RENO, Nev. – Reno 1868 FC will look to add to its four-game undefeated streak when it plays host to the Portland Timbers 2 on Saturday night at Greater Nevada Field. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT.

Reno 1868 FC news and notes

  • Current record: 7-4-5, 26pts

  • Reno played to a 1-1 draw with Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 last Saturday afternoon at Thunderbird Stadium to remain in fourth place in the Western Conference.

  • Brian Brown opened the scoring for the visitors off a good assist by Dane Kelly, but WFC2 hit back soon after to leave the game all square.

  • Kelly’s assist was his third of the season. The Jamaican remains one goal behind fellow countryman Romario Williams with 13 goals in the race for the USL Golden Boot.

  • Saturday’s game could see the return to the squad of Junior Burgos, who made one appearance for El Salvador at the Gold Cup before the side’s elimination on Wednesday by the United States.

  • T2 fell 1-0 to the Swope Park Rangers last Sunday at Providence Park in their most recent outing, as former Portland player Kharlton Belmar scored the only goal of the game.
