Longtime rivals square off at Capelli Sport Stadium

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Rochester Rhinos play host to longtime rival the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on Saturday evening at Capelli Sport Stadium with both teams looking to build on draws in their last outings. Kickoff is set for 6:05 p.m. ET.

Rochester Rhinos news and notes

  • Current record: 6-3-7, 25pts

  • The Rhinos played to a 1-1 draw with Ottawa Fury FC last Saturday afternoon at TD Place to remain firmly in the Eastern Conference playoff positions.

  • Jochen Graf scored early against Fury FC for his second goal in as many games, but a late tally by the hosts left the game all square.

  • Graf’s goal was his fourth of the season, which puts him level with Wal Fall for the Rhinos’ team-high this season.

  • Rhinos goalkeeper Tomas Gomez is tied for the league-lead with seven shutouts, and holds a 0.64 goals-against average for the season.

Pittsburgh Riverhounds news and notes

  • Current record: 5-7-6, 21pts

  • The Riverhounds played to a 1-1 draw against Bethlehem Steel FC last Saturday evening at Goodman Stadium.

  • Chevy Walsh opened the scoring with his third goal of the season for the Riverhounds, but Steel FC quickly responded as the Keystone State rivals ended level.

  • The Riverhounds are one of three teams level on 21 points in the Eastern Conference standings, two points back of the Harrisburg City Islanders in eighth place.

  • Midfielder Kevin Kerr is eighth in the USL with 93 crosses this season, and has recorded 36 Key Passes for the Hounds.
