Rangers look to stay hot as they host Toros

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Swope Park Rangers square off with Rio Grande Valley FC for the second time this season on Saturday night at Children’s Mercy Victory Field, with the hosts aiming to continue a six-game undefeated streak, and the visitors looking to build on a road win last Saturday.   • The Rangers earned a 1-0 victory against the LA Galaxy II last Friday night to earn their fourth win in the last five games.

  • Nansel Selbol had the only goal of the game three minutes after he came on as a second-half substitute, allowing SPR to move into third in the Western Conference.

  • Swope Park is undefeated in its last three home games since seeing its nine-game winning streak at Children’s Mercy Victory Field ended by San Antonio FC on May 26.

  • Daniel Salloi, who scored in SPR’s inaugural game in 2016, scored his first MLS goal last Saturday night in a 1-1 draw against the Portland Timbers.
