Orlando, Pittsburgh look to make jump into top eight

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City B and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds will both try to jump into the Eastern Conference playoff positions when they meet for the second time this season, and the first at Orlando City Stadium on Saturday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.

Orlando City B news and notes

  • Current record: 5-6-5, 20pts

  • Orlando earned a 1-1 draw with FC Cincinnati last Saturday night, and enters the weekend a point out of the playoffs positions in the Eastern Conference.

  • OCB midfielder Jordan Schweitzer scored early for the side against FCC, but the visitors earned a point as Djiby Fall notched his eighth goal of the season.

  • Orlando will be without playmaker Pierre Da Silva in Saturday’s game as he begins a three-game suspension after being sent off against Cincinnati.

  • Goalkeeper Earl Edwards Jr. is third in the USL with 48 saves, and tied for sixth in the league with four shutouts.

  • The Riverhounds fell 3-1 to the Charlotte Independence on Tuesday night at Highmark Stadium as a late consolation goal by Chevaughn Walsh wasn’t enough to spark a rally.

  • Pittsburgh has now lost three of its past five outings (1-3-1) and sits two points out of a place in the Eastern Conference top eight.

  • Riverhounds leading scorer Corey Hertzog has been held scoreless in his last four games, with his last goal coming against OCB on June 3.

  • Hertzog has recorded more shots this season (54) than the next five players in the Riverhounds’ squad (50).
