Tulsa Roughnecks FC news and notes

  • Current record: 5-8-0, 15pts

  • The Roughnecks fell 2-1 to the Swope Park Rangers on Tuesday night at ONEOK Field as a second-half goal by Collin Fernandez wasn’t enough to rally the side to a draw.

  • The goal was Fernandez’s first in his professional career, with the Chicago Fire loanee having been one of Tulsa’s most consistent performers this season.

  • Tulsa will be without defender Francisco Ugarte for Saturday’s game after he recorded his eighth yellow card of the season in Tuesday’s game with Swope Park.

  • The first Black Gold Derby of the season follows Saturday’s game for the Roughnecks, who will visit Taft Stadium as the rivalry renews.

Real Monarchs SLC news and notes

  • Current record: 12-1-1, 37pts

  • The Monarchs drew for the first time this season last Saturday as they were held 1-1 on the road by Phoenix Rising FC.

  • The draw brought an end to Real’s USL record nine-game winning streak, but a loss by San Antonio FC saw the Monarchs extend their lead to three points at the top of the Western Conference.

  • Daniel Haber scored his third goal of the season against Rising FC, and is one of eight players in the Monarchs’ squad to have recorded multiple goals this season.

  • Sebastian Velasquez and Charlie Adams have combined for 11 assists this season, the most of any pair of teammates in the USL.

Series Notes

  • The Monarchs went 1-0-1 against the Roughnecks a season ago, with this game their first meeting in the 2017 season.
