Cincinnati earned a 2-2 draw against the Charleston Battery last Saturday night at Nippert Stadium as Andrew Wiedeman’s standout finish with 10 minutes to go saw the game end level.
Djiby Fall had given FCC an early lead against the Eastern Conference leaders, but the Battery were able to maintain their undefeated record all-time against Cincinnati through second-half goals by Romario Williams and Forrest Lasso.
Senegalese striker Djiby Fall has scored seven goals in the USL this season, and 10 in all competitions having provided the game-winner in each of FCC’s Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup victories this season.
U.S. Soccer announced on Friday the Round of 16 game between FCC and the Chicago Fire at Nippert Stadium would be aired live on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday night.

Saint Louis is coming off a 2-1 defeat against Bethlehem Steel FC on June 11 that continued the club’s descent down the Eastern standings.
STLFC won three of its first four games this season, but since then has recorded a 1-4-2 record to move to 12th place in the Eastern Conference.
Christian Volesky and Jose Angulo have each recorded four goals this season to sit tied for the team lead.
Saint Louis has gone 1-2-3 on the road this season, with its lone victory coming against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on April 12.
