Charleston Battery news and notes

• Current record: 8-2-4, 28pts

• The Battery recorded a 2-2 draw with FC Cincinnati last Saturday night to extend their undefeated streak to three games, and maintain their undefeated record all-time against FCC.

• Charleston took a second-half lead after going behind early as goals by Romario Williams and Forrest Lasso put the visitors ahead, but Andrew Wiedeman equalized for the hosts with 10 minutes to go.

• Williams’ goal was his 11th goal of the season, putting him one back of Reno 1868 FC’s Dane Kelly for the lead in the race for the USL Golden Boot.

• Lasso’s goal was his fifth of the season, moving the center back into second on the team in goals. Five players have scored at least three goals this season for the Battery overall.

Toronto FC II news and notes

• Toronto earned a 1-0 victory against Orlando City B in its last outing on June 14 at the Ontario Soccer Centre as Jordan Hamilton scored the only goal of the game.

• The win broke TFC II’s 12-game winless streak, which stretched all the way back to the second game of the season after the club’s March 25 win against Phoenix Rising FC.

• TFC II’s shutout against Orlando was its sixth of the season, putting the team tied for third in the USL.

• Toronto remains last in the USL in goals scored with five on 145 total shots this season.
