NASHVILLE (June 20, 2017) – Nashville Soccer Club announced today that the club has expanded its partnership with the Tennessee State Soccer Association in a concerted effort to improve opportunities for all soccer players in the state.
“We are excited to partner with Nashville SC as we look to pioneer a new and affordable way to identify our best talent in Tennessee,” said Hans Hobson, executive director of TSSA. “We would not be able to promote such an innovative, statewide program without the tremendous commitment Tennessee’s only professional soccer franchise is making to youth soccer across the state. We are looking forward to this growing partnership and what it will provide for youth soccer in Tennessee.”
The expanded partnership includes:
“Many of the best soccer players often remain undiscovered because they’re unfairly priced out of the system at an early age,” said Court Jeske, CEO of Nashville SC. “Expanding our partnership with TSSA creates a more inclusive development system that will give Tennessee’s best players every chance to grow into future professionals – maybe even future Nashville SC players.”
Many soccer clubs have traditionally partnered with particular youth teams to help develop talent; but NSC’s partnership with TSSA is aimed at providing opportunities for all youth players in Tennessee to receive coaching, training and scouting from Tennessee’s professional soccer club.
