OKC Energy FC news and notes

  • Current record: 4-5-1, 10pts

  • Energy FC recorded its third win in the past four games with a 3-2 victory against Phoenix Rising FC on Tuesday night in the USL Game of the Week on ESPN3.

  • Wojciech Wojcik scored a pair of goals, and Kyle Hyland also found the net, as Energy FC held on late to move within range of the Western Conference playoff positions.

  • Wojcik suffered a fractured left elbow late in Tuesday’s contest, and will be out indefinitely after undergoing surgery.

  • Energy FC will also be without goalkeeper Cody Laurendi for both San Antonio’s visit, and the club’s game against the Colorado Rapids in the Fourth Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup after being called into Puerto Rico’s squad for an international exhibition against Indonesia next Tuesday.

San Antonio FC news and notes

  • Current record: 9-0-3, 30pts

  • San Antonio extended its undefeated streak to 12 games to start the season with a 0-0 draw against the Swope Park Rangers last Saturday night.

  • The draw saw SAFC drop to second in the Western Conference after Real Monarchs SLC moved ahead with its 10th win of the season.

  • SAFC is aiming for its sixth consecutive road win, which would surpass the New York Red Bulls II’s five-game road winning streak from the 2016 season.

  • San Antonio has recorded six consecutive shutouts, and now holds a 554-minute shutout streak. The USL record is 758 minutes, held by Rio Grande Valley FC.
