Charleston Battery news and notes
Current record: 7-2-3, 24pts
The Battery played to a remarkable 4-4 draw last Saturday night against Louisville City FC, but conceded twice in the final 15 minutes to let victory slide away late.
Romario Williams scored twice to put the Battery ahead in the first half, and has equaled his total for the regular season in 2016 with 10 goals this year.
The Battery maintain a two-point lead over the Tampa Bay Rowdies at the top of the Eastern Conference going into Week 12’s action.
Charleston’s 25 goals are the most of any team in the USL’s Eastern Conference, with the side averaging more than two goals per game.
