TAMPA, Fla. – Louisville City FC midfielder Brian Ownby has claimed the USL Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week for the second time in the 2017 season, as his outstanding finish against the Charleston Battery last Saturday night earned him Week 11’s award in the weekly online poll.

Ownby had previously claimed the award in Week 5 of the season, when his outstanding finish against FC Cincinnati finished top of the poll. On Saturday night the Louisville midfielder produced a finish of similar quality, as his curling finish from 20 yards into the left corner of the net against the Battery provided one of numerous high points in the thrilling 4-4 draw between the Eastern Conference contenders.

Ownby earned 40 percent of the poll conducted online at USLSoccer.com that concluded on Thursday morning. Seku Conneh’s long-range blast for Bethlehem Steel FC on Sunday afternoon against Ottawa Fury FC finished second with 33 percent, while Christian Volesky’s deft chip after a great through-ball by Jose Angulo for Saint Louis FC against Toronto FC II last Friday night finished third with 11 percent.
