OKLAHOMA CITY – OKC Energy FC has signed Welsh midfielder Chad Bond, the club announced on Friday. A veteran of the USL, Bond most recently competed for Saint Louis FC after previous stints with Tulsa Roughnecks FC and Sacramento Republic FC.
Bond made 27 appearances for Saint Louis a season ago, recording two goals and two assists for the side. The previous season he recorded eight assists in 24 games for the Roughnecks, which placed him tied for fourth in the USL.
The 30-year-old competed in Europe prior to joining Orange County SC to begin his career in the United States in 2012. Among his previous stops was Swansea City, where he competed for the Swans in the Championship in the 2009-10 season.
